There was a great deal for whole birds last week, but the smallest was too large for my meager freezer. We cooked it over the weekend, had the big meal, froze a lot, and have been munching on sandwiches all week. As far as I'm concerned, the only reason for that lengthy effort is cold, turkey sandwiches later. So, it's pizza today - another non-labor favorite - and both the Rev and I are ecstatic about never having to gather with our dysfunctional families again. Yes, we like being alone for the holidays and fend off every invitation.
Oh, yeah, and the Chimney Sweeps fixed the storm damage with a hearty holiday wish and no charge. The roofer . . . that's another matter, but I'll deal with it next week. Tomorrow, meeting the wonderful Amy Goodman, and the best news of all. I finished NaNo yesterday with editing days to spare and a total of 50,297 words in 25 days. Breeeeeeathe.
