Thank you to all who sent nice words and hilarious video links concerning NaNo. Writing is such a solitary effort; it's great to have moral support while your carpal tunnel kicks into overdrive! (Thanks, Rev, for noticing, changing the mouse and providing an ergonomic pad.)

But, back to the serious world, does anyone realize that Obama's Afghan surge will leave a mere 20K guard for the entire country? No one is enlisting, so unless they stooopidly re-instate the draft, we've just negated the meaning of a standing, domestic army. Plus, this is precisely where the Russians were when they went bankrupt; no one can 'win' this war; and the withdrawal date is slightly conspicuous. July 2011, right before a Nov. election, ooh the troops are coming home. Vote Democrat. The difference between this Prez and the last? At least we KNEW Bubba was lying from the start. There was never any false Hope. Very disappointing, and yes, the honeymoon is definitely over for me.
