Once we tie up Yemen, the only country standing in the way of our Empire is Iran, and they're having a convenient civil war. No, I'm not cutting myself off from news until 1/1/10, trying to get used to the idea of being disconnected this week. In the meantime, CNN reports that the Nigerian bomber was more likely radicalized at college in London - not while in Yemen. So, why aren't we bombing England? And did they waterboard the guy to get his confession? The only thing the pundits are arguing is whether this deluded soul deserves Miranda Rights and medical care?! Whatever, paving the way for that continuous oil pipeline is looking much better, and we're well on our way to justifying Big Brother's facial-recognition cameras and being strip-searched at the airport.
Took the long trek to the 'city' yesterday, because there's no place to get the 2010 Day Timer refill - another addiction from my corporate days. As I prepare to sit down and map out my goals for the coming year, all I can say is that the past decade totally sucked. Bon Voyage.
