Once again the Huffington Post has sound advice for the silent majority to help us fight back, this time against the outrage we feel for CEOs of those 'can't afford to fail' banks who have yet to let any money trickle to anyone on Main Street. Read Move Your Money, and then log onto moveyourmoney.info and enter your zip code to find local banks who don't pay their managers multi-millions supplied by taxpayers. We opted for a credit union.
The Rev and I did this months ago, after the second bail-out of AIG. We removed all accounts from Bank America and US Bank, because we were so angry with their practices and new fees added. Granted it is a small headache to re-order all your checks, change info in various places, etc., but since I had the experience as a major, government whistle blower, I've taught him that one must start where one can. It may not have been a big blow for the 9 figure execs to lose my measly savings, but what if we all did it. They are NOT too big to fail (that's just stupid) and mis-management should never be rewarded (as it has been). I urge you all to consider doing the same. Can't begin to tell you how good it feels to NOT be part of the problem.
